The most festive holiday is fast approching. The last time I checked the calendar it was only December 8 (Immaculate Conception) but whew! Today is December 23 — the Simbang Gabi will end soon, the four Advent Candles in the altar were all lighted, the cold breeze is chilling, Puto Bungbong and Bibingka are available everywhere, children sing Christmas carols all over the neighborhood and people are mobbing the mall 24/7!!! Christmas is my most awaited season — and I know that I’m not the only one. But despite the Christmas rush, gift-giving, Noche Buena and all, let’s not forget that JESUS is still the reason for the season. Happy Christmas everyone!
